How do you begin the design process? With Newspaper Theme, there’s a hassle-free solution to creating a page from scratch: the tagDiv Cloud Library Page Template. You can import a page’s layout and style within a few seconds and easily add your content to it, without having to create the design from scratch.
Cloud Library Page Template
Hierarchy is important when someone builds a page from scratch. You need to show what’s important first. Scale the other elements down to attract the user’s view to the titles and featured articles, slowly guiding him to the bottom. Each time you create a new page, you try to create symmetry.
The spacing between elements has to follow a pattern that creates harmony. A well-balanced layout is like the structure of a house. To save you time and a lot of effort our design team has worked on building creative and diverse page templates that you can import straight to the website. Each one becomes a new page that is entirely editable and customizable to fit your needs.
How to get a Cloud Library Page Template
Open the WordPress Admin Dashboard. Make sure that you have the tagDiv Cloud Library plugin installed and active. For more information on how to install and activate plugins, check out this blog post. Now, navigate to Cloud Templates section and click on the blue “Add New” button.
Browse through the “Pages” section to find the perfect layout to use for the site. What type of page are you searching for? For guidance, you can find out more about making one from scratch by creating a Homepage, About Page, Latest News Page.
Click on the template you like and then select the “Create Page” button. The entire page’s design is imported, and you can then edit each section to add your personal information and change the images to fit the intent.
Customize your Cloud Library Page Template
You can model each Cloud Library Page Template to create the perfect form for your beautiful website. The elements of every section can be moved by dragging and dropping them to a different place. Click on an item to access its settings and change them with a few clicks.
With the tagDiv Composer, you can add more items to the page and customize it without any coding skills. For more information regarding the front-end page builder, visit this link. Once you’re done customizing, save your progress!
Wrapping up
Have you used any of Newspaper Theme‘s Cloud Library Templates, yet? If so, how did you fit them into your website? I don’t have a create page button, just an import template button. How can I create a page from the template?
Hi,
The guide is a bit older. The cloud library dashboard has changed but the functionality is the same. If you would like to import pages from the cloud library, please use the import option https://prnt.sc/NPYV9lpF21f4 The page will be created and it will be available in the wordpress pages panel. Please let us know if you have more questions. I suggest using the support forum or to send us an email https://forum.tagdiv.com/newspaper-theme-support/

Hi there,
is it possible to hide the Cloud Templates from the roles editors/authors, so that they can’t manipulate the website but focus on writing their articles?
Thanks a lot for your work!
Hi Martin,
Thank you for reaching out to us, and for the kind words. Sure! Only the Admin and Editor can edit the Cloud Templates, but the other users (authors or contributors) can only see the templates, without the possibility of actually modifying and saving any of them. Have a lovely 2021 🙂

If there is a problem in your case, we could take a look. You can send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide a link to the website, admin login, and the license key. We will try to help.

Hi Simion, I created a header with Cloud Templates and I can edit that one. But I also made a footer, but that one I cannot edit… What am I doing wrong?
Hi,
Thanks for using our theme! Please note that footers cannot be individually edited. editing templates on front-end is cool but how can we edit the template php file on backend, will we have to use again child theme for that?
Hi,
Please take a closer look over the following documentation from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/the-child-theme-support-tutorial/ in order to know which files can be overwritten in our theme.
Best regards!
Thank you for your understanding!
from Pre-designed Templates – tagDiv Cloud Library i keep getting Invalid reply from server endpoint.
Hi,
Usually the “Invalid reply from server endpoint error” is caused by insufficient WP_Memory_limit. Please follow the guide carefully, maybe you can increase the WP_Memory_limit. – https://forum.tagdiv.com/requirements-for-newspaper/
and please increase all requirements that are lower, and follow all steps. Further, if you need more technical assistance, please open a new topic at our support forum from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/ and our team are ready to assist you.
Thank you!
im not able to use cloud library its shows me Invalid reply from server endpoint. this error
Hi,
This seems to be a problem that might occur for several reasons. Check your system status parameters to be increased according to our documentation, remove all of the untested plugins to avoid eventual problems caused by them, clear all the caches and check the results. If the problem persists, please open a new topic at our support forum from here -> https://forum.tagdiv.com/forum/newspaper/ and our team are ready to assist you.
Thank you!
Hi,
Unfortunately, the child theme doesn’t work with Cloud Template Library, sorry! Most of the theme files were moved into the TagDiv composer plugin as per the requirements of Envato: https://help.author.envato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000472383-WordPress-Theme-Requirements. We wrote an article on the subject here: https://tagdiv.com/updating-the-core-of-tagdiv-themes/ Moving forward with such requirements, a child theme will only work with functions.php, and style.css, as there are very few files left in the main theme as Envato, requires all functionality to be added through plugins.
Sorry for the inconvenience!
I was able to use a cloud template, but how can I display the last updated date instead of the publishing date. Without cloud template, I was able to edit it from includes > wp_booster > td_module_single_base.php.
How can I edit the same for template?
Hi,
There is a last modified date element available for the cloud post templates https://www.screencast.com/t/sScV3wXexri so you can use it as needed https://www.screencast.com/t/yHfzfhFEJnu0 This element was added in theme update 9.6.
Thank you!
Hello Alex! Nice article! Thanks for the valuable information!
Hi!
Thank you for the feedback!
Hi,
We have recently updated the Newspaper theme and it’s related plugins called td-composer, td-amp and td-social-counter but after updating it, we are getting following error on the site:
PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined method td_api_header_style::_helper_show_header() in /var/www/dev.cryptocoin.news/wp-content/themes/CryptoCoinNews/header-ongoing-canonical.php
The site uses “Newspaper” as parent theme and “CryptocoinNews” as child theme.
Any help to resolve this error would be highly appreciated.
Thanks!
Hi,
Does the issue happen if you temporarily deactivate the child theme? Before an update, if you use a child theme, please check the files that have been modified by us. There is always a list of them here https://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 below the changelog for each update. For the latest update these were the files that have been modified by us https://tagdiv.com/td_deploy/Newspaper/changed_files_9.2.1_9.5.html
If the child theme contains one of those files, serving the old version could cause problems. Copy the new files in the child theme and redo your modifications/additions. if the problem remains send us an email at contact@tagdiv.com and provide admin login so we can take a look.
Thank you!
