Throughout the years, the Newspaper theme has delivered many updates and new features. From getting a sticky sidebar, adding social network buttons, to customizing your site with templates and everything in between. So, to keep up with the amount of work, we present to you a new way of easing your workload: the Undo and Redo buttons.
The ability to undo and redo an action is an essential feature on most software. Who can even imagine Adobe Photoshop without this handy feature? Or not having this available to you in Microsoft Word? Web design experiments on Newspaper Theme are easy with this tool.
Instructions
Did you like how something looked just before you adjusted it? No need to worry anymore: hit the counter-clockwise arrow, and your change vanishes. Whoosh! Just like that. Take control of your page’s layout fluidly.
More of a keyboard type of person? Hit Ctrl + Z just like you would in any application. Errors can now be left behind and tagged as bygones. However, as fast as that is, you can always take it back with the Redo button. You want that overlay on your featured image, but you’ve just undone the change? No worries, press the button right next to Undo and there you have it, it’s back again!
For Keyboard users, to redo a past action just hold Ctrl + Shift + Z. Apple users, your keyboard shortcuts are different: Command + Z for your Undo and Command + Shift + Z for the Redo.
How can the Undo and Redo help you?
There are plenty of uses for this highly valuable addition to any software. But, let’s talk business, here are some suggestions on how to better use an undo or redo action:
You’re building a new page for your site or creating a template from scratch using the Cloud Library elements. You added a new block to your page, but the result is not what you needed? Just hit the Undo button and it’s now gone.
Let’s say you’ve made some customizations to the page title like changing the size and the font family to match the rest of your website, and added a gradient. At the end of the process, you realize that you don’t like the result. You can go back to the way it was before with Undo.
You’re now using the Undo button more often. In fact, maybe you’ve used it a bit too often. Well, you can redo your past actions and bring back the elements you liked before you’ve undone them.
Test and experiment with different designs for your website while using this feature to see how useful it could be when you’re in a pinch!
Final Thoughts
Now, it’s perfectly all right to make design ”mistakes” and go back in time to how your site used to look a couple of adjustments ago. You can return with just the click of a button. Use it as much as you want to and make everything easier while saving time. If you need more information, check out our documentation here.
Tell us about any new creative ways of using this feature in your website building process in the comment box below! 😎
Every website’s owner has struggled with the overall article’s design. Making small adjustments like padding or thinner borders automatically implied diving into the code for changes. That’s not the case anymore. With the Newspaper theme, you can create perfect templates for your posts, right on the front-end without touching a single line of CSS.
Introducing the Single Post Template Builder
The single template on WordPress refers to the layout used by the posts. Take control of your articles by editing every aspect in the familiar interface of the tagDiv Composer page builder. This is the innovation brought by the Newspaper Theme.
Why is the Template Builder such a big deal?
It helps you significantly cut the development time. Therefore you have more time to spend on creating high-quality content for the site. Focus the attention on the most important thing – the content – rather than on learning how to code. A Single Template allows you to make advanced CSS alterations in just a few clicks without touching a single line of code. Your website visitors will be delighted by your eye-catching new structures. Oh, and don’t forget: you can now have different looks for different articles.
The Single Post Template is the solution to all these problems. Without any further introductions, let’s get straight to the point.
What can you do?
Create as many templates as you need and assign them to different posts
Choose where to use it: on multiple posts or a specific one. All the articles automatically use the design of the template you have previously assigned to them
Make changes on a template without CSS adjustments, right from the tagDiv Composer, and see the results instantly. You can make CSS specific changes like color, padding, typography, and post structure with just a click.
Going beyond the usual structure of a post, you can quickly add Newspaper Theme’s elements, blocks, and sections by dragging and dropping them in the desired position. What this means is that you can add, for example, the Social Counter widget, a block like Popular Articles, and create a sidebar or a footer designed specifically for the post you’re editing in no time.
How to use Single template builder?
To make it even easier for you, our expert designers created dozens of pre-made post templates you can import with a single click.
Access the tagDiv Cloud Library
The first step is to activate the tagDiv Cloud Library plugin. This gives you access to a huge collection of layouts, homepages, functional pages, sections, and many more cool things you must explore. Now, Click on the Cloud Templates menu and press the Add New button to open the Library. Under the Single tab, you can browse through over 30 beautiful Post Templates.
Import a post template
Go ahead and preview different looks for the articles. See anything you like? To import it to the website, all you have to do is click the Create template button. Confirm the option when prompted, and the theme automatically redirects you to edit it.
To use it just as it is, click the Save button and assign it to the post or posts. You can easily do this, just navigate to the post you want to use the template on. At the bottom of the edit page, in the Post Settings Tab, under Post Template panel then select the template you have created.
If there are some tweaks you would like to make before applying it to posts: you can add elements from the tagDiv Composer to your article by dragging and dropping it in the desired position and see the results happening live. Save the layout and use it later. For example, you can customize the above the fold section of a template by changing the look of the featured image, adding an overlay and choosing the colors for it. Also, let’s adjust typography and apply a gradient to the title.
Import a Blank Template to create a new structure for your article
In the tagDiv Cloud Library, under the Single tab, you’ll also find a Blank one. We’ve placed it there so that you can quickly create a new template you love, starting fresh everytime you feel like it. Once you’ve imported this ‘layout,’ the theme automatically brings you in tagDiv Composer page builder, on a blank ‘page.’
Add rows, elements, blocks and create whatever structure you may want to. Just drag and drop the elements marked with ‘single’ in their name (the “page title” item is the post title) and arrange them. You can begin editing by clicking on them.
When the design is ready, click the Save icon then navigate to the post you want to use the template on. In the Post Template panel, all you have to do to apply it to your post is select the template.
Wait, there’s more:
After you assigned a template on a post, you can always edit it in tagDiv Composer. Please note that if multiple articles use the layout, the changes will be automatically applied to all of them.
You can edit a template before assigning it to a post, but when doing so, you’ll see the content and elements replaced by grey placeholders.
No more limitations! Break free from the old restraints of what you “can & can’t do” by embracing a new way of editing. Your articles and posts can now be a touch more personal and unique. Different looks for different tastes. Everything can now be customized, so you have infinite possibilities right at your fingertips. Assigning a template to a post can now be just the stepping stone.
Try more, create more & impress your audience. Have you created a cool new template design using our Newspaper Theme? If so, feel free to share your crafted designs in the comment section below. 🙂

This makes it easier for your users to travel across different pages or posts. Highlight and keep track of all you need easily with Newspaper Theme.
Here are some elements you can add to the sidebar using Newspaper Theme:
Social network icons/links will increase the credibility and promote your site.
Popular posts: showing these to first-time viewers helps them discover your values and strengthens the possibility of conversion.
Recent posts: makes it easy to locate your new content for your readers; it increases page views and may reduce the bounce rate.
If you want an easy way for your audience to be kept up to date with your content, you should get an Email Subscription box on your sidebar.
Custom Ads using the new Ad Box element. Keep in mind that Google AdSense has a policy against using ads on a sticky element, so just showcase your affiliates.
Display the forecasted weather with the beautifully animated Weather Widget.
But, what exactly is a sticky sidebar? And why should you use it?
The sticky sidebar is known as a “floating” element. When a user scrolls through your page, they will continue to see this section on their screen, displaying your important content. According to WPBeginner having a floating element on your page helps boost conversions and the click-through rate.
With our new update, you can now have multiple sticky sidebars on your page. You can do all of this in just a few simple steps with the Newspaper Theme.
Make a sidebar Sticky by checking the box
Multiple sticky sidebars for pages
Split any row, on any page or template, into two columns. Now, select the one you want to use as a sidebar. From the General settings tab, check the box that says Sticky. Your column now travels alongside the rest of your content until it meets a new row.
All you have to do is make sure the box is checked to have a smart sidebar
Use a sticky sidebar on templates
The Cloud Library is a plugin that was launched with version 8.8 of the Newspaper Theme. It lets you import pre-made templates and then easily edit them with tagDiv Composer. If you want to learn more about various templates and how to create them, visit our Documentation page. For example, open your Post Template with the frontend page builder. Now click on the column that you want to make sticky. Check the Sticky box from the General settings tab. Now save your settings. And, you’re done!
Conclusions
While, numerous elements can be added into the sidebar, try not to clutter it. Highlight only the essential items that you want the audience to have access to at any given point in time. If you’re out of ideas and need some inspiration, try browsing through our Demo previews. Most of them make use of various sticky sidebars, in various different ways. Just a dash of inspiration can go a long way, so get creative while designing!
As always, we’d love to hear from you. Use the comment box below to showcase your website and tell us how you’ve used sticky sidebars!

Running a great site takes time and effort. There are so many factors and components to consider, from choosing the topics your site will cover to picking a distinctive yet user-friendly look and optimizing the website for search engine visibility.
But for all the moving parts a website has, you might be surprised to learn that increasing traffic to your site is rather straightforward. In fact, there are several little-known tips, tricks, and growth hacks that you can use to drive more traffic to your WordPress website.
Here are five ways to boost traffic to your site:
1.Develop and implement your keyword plan
While there are numerous aspects of search engine optimization (SEO), one of the most important is the keyword research. Although you’ll do keyword research for each piece of content published on your WordPress site, you’ll also want to have a small group of relevant keywords to use across the entire site.

When it comes to keywords, there are “macro keywords” and “micro keywords.” The macro keywords lead traffic to your overall site, so they’ll often pertain to broader topics. The micro keywords direct traffic to specific pages on your WordPress website. As such, both types of keywords are important for different reasons.
With both macro and micro keywords, you want to pick relevant keywords with less competition on search results pages. Less competition means that it’s easier to rank higher for those keywords. Keep in mind that a lot of these keywords will be long-tail, high-intent keywords. Tools like SEMRush or Moz make picking and tracking your chosen keywords super simple. Additionally, Google Analytics is great for assessing how your chosen keywords are performing in search engine results pages (SERPs).
Generally, the content should relate to at least one macro and one micro keyword. If you find that a topic doesn’t seem to fit with your keywords, maybe the topic isn’t consistent with your overall site. Consistency creates cohesion and makes the site’s visitors more likely to continue exploring the website rather than immediately leaving (called “bouncing”).
Pro tip: The Yoast Plugin for WordPress is a great tool for making sure all the content you publish is fully optimized for search engine visibility.
2. Use breadcrumbs
You’ve probably noticed the links that are often present just above the blog title or featured image on a web page. These links are called “breadcrumbs.” Well-known eCommerce sites, a growing number of bloggers, news outlets, and entrepreneurs have found this simple navigation tool to have an immense value when it comes to driving traffic to your WordPress site.
Each “breadcrumb” represents a potential touchpoint with a search engine. When each of your breadcrumbs is a search-friendly keyword, those breadcrumbs could route users to the site via SERPs. Additionally, breadcrumbs serve as clickable keywords for your visitors.
Not only are breadcrumbs a great tool for driving traffic to (and across) your site, they’re actually simple to add to your WordPress site. Many WordPress themes have built-in options for breadcrumbs. When available, the theme will automatically add breadcrumbs to each and every post on your site. If your theme doesn’t have a built-in breadcrumbs option, a plugin like Breadcrumbs NavXT can add breadcrumbs separately.
3. Submit a sitemap to Google Search Console
What is a sitemap? It’s a file that lists all the posts and pages on your site. They’re crucial in search engine visibility because sitemaps tell search engines which pages of your site should be indexed, which pages shouldn’t. Also, they help Google know how often to update or “crawl” your website. Although there are other ways for search engines to find you, a sitemap is one of the few ways that ensure the search engines are aware your website exists and begin including your pages in SERPs.

Here’s another reason to use the Yoast Plugin mentioned previously. Among its many features, Yoast automatically creates a sitemap for your site, which can be downloaded or linked to, anytime you want. Once you have a sitemap, you can submit it to Google and (1) create an account on Google Search Console, (2) provide the site’s info, and (3) then upload the file.
4. Bring strong visuals to build credibility
To this point, we’ve focused on ways to make your WordPress site visible to search engines. That’s a big part of increasing traffic, but you should also consider the visitors’ experience on your website.

The visuals of a site such as the images, WordPress theme, navigation, ads, page and post layouts, make an impression on every visitor. In fact, regardless of the quality of the content, a poorly-designed website is a top cause of bouncing. However, when your site is clean and professional, you’re more credible. And your visitors are more likely to share your content, which generates more traffic.
Depending on what stage of development your site is in and the kind of audience you already have, it might make more sense to simply invest in a high-quality, premium WordPress theme rather than paying top dollar for a professional to build a custom WordPress site for you. Great WordPress themes are something for which TagDiv is well-known. Newspaper and Newsmag are best-selling news, blog, and magazine themes, intuitive and powerful for any publishing or editorial website. Alternately, there’s also a library of free WordPress themes available, too.
Beyond the site’s actual theme, take special care with the photos used as featured images on your posts. Due to copyright considerations, make sure you have permission to use your chosen images. Of course, you can bypass that problem by being aware of sites that offer free stock photos, including Pexels, StockSnap, and Unsplash. Besides, you can pay for a premium subscription (with more photo options), iStockPhoto and GraphicStock are popular options.
You can also create your own images with a tool like Canva. This is a great way to create professional-looking images to complement your content and the brand you’re establishing with your WordPress site.
Pro tip: Write keyword-rich metadata for your images and other media. Google Image Search is the most popular, so implementing basic keywording practicing in the names, descriptions, and metadata will help your media will drive additional traffic to your site.
5. Network with professionals, influencers, and other publications
Whether you have a new website or you’re already well-established, you should always build relationships. Why? Because networking with other professionals can increase your site’s visibility and traffic, potentially by a substantial margin.
In fact, this is why writing guest posts has become one of the most highly-recommended ways to gain web traffic. The site where this kind of post appears often links back to your site. This way, the visitors will enjoy your guest article and also can visit your website to read more quality content. Basically, guest posts are open doors to your site from other online publications.
There are also other ways to grow a site’s traffic through networking, including by using the social media accounts you probably already have.
Twitter is a particularly valuable platform for networking. For starters, it’s a great place to share content with your audience and also make it available to other people. It’s also a great platform because other professionals can find your content and share it with their own audiences.
When the right people are sharing your content on their social networks, the gains in traffic to your site can be astronomical. As well, there are social media analytics tools that will help you to gauge how these mentions and social media shares are contributing to more traffic while also providing actionable insights on your own social engagement.
It’s important to remember that you probably won’t see significant increases in your web traffic overnight. Web presence and search engine visibility are long-term goals, meaning that achieving your desired traffic goals is going to take some time. But by utilizing the tips we’ve provided here, it’s only a matter of time before your WordPress website is getting choice positioning in SERPs and seeing significant increases in traffic.

We’re constantly trying to come up with different ways of empowering you to design spectacular pages. This feature will stimulate your creativity and ease the building process.
“You can’t use up creativity. The more you use, the more you have.”
The Row Divider element helps you create original separator effects to transform your pages into something that visitors want to return to.
We all know that vision is our dominant sense, so why not take advantage of this by designing beautiful things that attract attention and are surprising? You can find this great feature in the tagDiv Composer when opening the row’s settings. The panel consists of three tabs, General, Divider, and CSS.
As you probably already guessed, all the customization process happens right in the Divider tab. The row Divider element has 20 appealing shape styles that can be mixed, matched or flipped, to create versatile patterns. You can even set different layouts for the top and bottom part of the section, with separate controls for each side.
To emphasize your content in a beautiful, professional way, you have the total control over the height, width, and space. By increasing the space, the divider widens further down on the row for a higher visual impact.
“Creativity takes courage.”
It’s play time! What’s more fun than creating something from scratch and enjoying it? With its incredible flexibility, the divider element lets you personalize pages with your favorite shapes and colors. Choose bold shades and blend them together to generate magnificent dividing designs for your backgrounds, content, titles, and much more. You can also add a shadow to your divider, with a different color, for special effects.
“Technology, like art, is a soaring exercise of the human imagination.”

Once you install and activate the plugin, you’ll find the Newsletter element in the tagDiv Composer page builder, “External Shortcodes” area. Simply drag and drop the block wherever you want on the page, and start customizing it according to your preferences. The Newsletter element supports different newsletter providers and has awesome styles that catch your visitors’ attention.
Integrating different Newsletter providers
The General tab comprises options for the Title text and description. It also contains the disclaimer text for extra information. The input placeholder is a text that appears in the empty field where you want visitors to enter their personal information. Once they click on it, the text will disappear, leaving space for their own e-mail address. There are various platforms you can use to push your marketing campaign through, whether you need to tell a story or sell products.
First, you need to choose the wanted newsletter provider from the three options available: MailChimp, Mailer Lite, and Feedburner. After you have made this choice, you must enter the embedded form code. In this tab, you can also change the text on the button and the horizontal alignment of the texts. Moreover, if you want to further customize this element, you can add an extra class.
Select an appealing Newsletter style
The Style tab comes with customization options regarding the appearance of the Newsletter element. There are 8 different designs for the presentation of this feature namely Simple, Simple with image, Bordered, Bordered with image, Bordered with icon, Bordered with top bar, Multicolored border, and Dark.
With the Newspaper theme, you can test your creativity by styling every little part of your Newsletter subscription element with different colors and typography fonts. The title, description, disclaimer text, background, button, input text, or the border can have a distinct color to please the visitor’s eye. You may even upload a preferred photo for the style that requires one and personalize the Newsletter element to the core.
Furthermore, pick out a font that you like from the predefined list, or add your own to change the appearance of your texts and make them more appealing. To take things to another level, surprise! The Newsletter subscription element is responsive, and you can customize it to look differently on any screen device. Once you’ve set everything, the newsletter form will be available on your page for your users.
